On Feb 25, Enactus Laurentian hosted its first annual Auction Fundraiser and Comedy Show in front of a packed house. Up for auction were a total of sixteen packages supplied by Enactus Laurentian and various local businesses.
“The fundraiser allowed us to raise over 1,670 dollars. We are very thankful to all of our donors and community partners for supporting us and making this event a success,” commented Justin Labelle, President of Enactus.
After the auction, Yuk Yuk comedians Mike Rita, Adrian Cronk, and Garrett Clark entertained the audience with relentless comical wit.
Moving forward, Enactus Laurentian is “in the process of re-launching the residence moveout campaign project to help recycle electronics, food, clothing, and furniture from when students leave the residence’s at the end of April. With the help of Laurentian Sustainability and the Residence Committee, we will have various drop-off locations for all items. These items will be donated and properly recycled to continue our efforts of keeping our city green by diverting waste.”
