From Feb. 14 to Feb. 19, various locations around the Laurentian Campus will host Pride Week celebrations.
Pride Week is an annual event at Laurentian that was created in an effort to bring awareness to and foster support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community on campus.
The week-long event is organized by Pride@LU and sponsored by the SGA.
The event schedule is as follows:
Monday, Feb. 14: Dirty Bake Sale
When: All Day
Where: Pride Office (L-228)
Tuesday, Feb. 15: Wine & Cheese/Art Show
When: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Brenda Wallace Reading Room (Library – Third Floor)
Wednesday, Feb. 16: Capture the Pride Flag Scavenger Hunt
When: All Day
Where: Throughout Campus
Thursday, Feb. 17: Open Mic Night (19+)
When: 9 p.m.
Where: Pub Downunder (must be 19+ years old to attend)
Friday, Feb. 18: Movie Night (The Birdcage)
When: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Student Centre
Saturday, Feb. 19: Zig’s Night (19+)
When: 10 p.m.
Where: Zig’s Bar (Elgin Street Downtown)
